Taos Two-Fly Contest – 2009 Winners!
We are happy to bring to Members of the Solitary Angling Club and customers of the Solitary Angler Guide Service the First Annual Taos Two-Fly Contest, sponsored by The Solitary Angler, The Solitary Angling Club, The Tailwater Gallery and Trinchera Ranch (Formerly Forbes Trinchera Ranch).
2009 Results: For two days we had six teams of two anglers each, fishing Trinchera Ranch (Trinchera & Ute Creeks and The Ponds) and Culebra Creek. Ten points were awarded for every inch over 12 on the Culebra and over 10 on Trinchera; points were also awarded for keeping your fly for the entire day.
1st place and a 3-day Wyoming trip went to Steve Jackson and Randy Briggs with a total of 2012 points; 2nd place went to Mike Henderson and Peter Aravosis. Steve was Top Rod with 1028 points.
